Commencée avant les Fêtes et piquée à la main cet hiver, cette courtepointe me plaît infiniment car je crois avoir bien balancé les couleurs en plus d'utiliser beaucoup de retailles.


Cousue  au printemps pour l'anniversaire de mon petit-fils Samuel.  Elle a été piquée à la machine à quilter par Hélène de Upton.  Hélène a choisi de piquer avec des motifs de papillons, comme on en trouve dans l'imprimé du tissu.

Ici, le rabat est constitué d’un patchwork. Il est orné d’une boucle et d’un bouton. Le rabat de ce prochain sac est d’inspiration japonaise. Il est composé de tissus japonais appliqués et de broderie. Il est important d’accorder une attention toute spéciale au rabat puisqu’il « fait » le sac en quelque sorte sur ce modèle traditionnel. Il pourrait être fait de fourrure, de patchwork, brodé, uni, perlé, etc Le sac (la taille): 1. Tailler pour l’extérieur du sac : 3 rectangles d’égale grandeur (rabat et les 2 côtés) ; 2. Histoire de napperons (pointes-folles)

Terminées ces deux séries de six napperons en pointes-folles façon Francine De Serres.  Contente des couleurs et du résultat global.  Encore une série à venir à partir de tissu acheté sur Ebay (Fat quarters).  Les couleurs sont déjà assorties:  pas beaucoup de travail à faire côté créativité mais le choix des couleurs est parfait pour moi.  Je n'aurais pas pu faire mieux.  J'ai hâte de m'y mettre.  Je viens de terminer un cinquième pyjama pour mon petit Edgar.  La flanelette achetée à Montréal, rue St-Hubert n'a pas la même qualité que celle acheté à gros prix chez J-M Textiles.  Je suis un petit peu déçue.  Elle est moins épaisse et nous verrons à l'usage sa résistance aux lavages.

C'est un gâteau vraiment délicieux dont la recette m'a été donnée par mon voisin André C.  Le petit goût sûrette de la rhubarbe entre en symbiose avec le sucre du gâteau pour un résultat surprenant.  À servir avec crème glacée à la vanille, crème ou yogourt nature, yogourt qui pourrait  être aux fraises... Voici les ingrédients et la procédure Gâteau lunaire à la rhubarbe 1/2 tasse de shortening - 1½ tasse de sucre - 1 oeuf - 1 c. thé de vanille - 2 tasses de farine - 1 cuil thé de soda - ½ cuil thé de sel - 1 tasse de babeurre - 2¼ tasses de bouts de rhubarbe en tronçons d'un ½ pouce - 1 cuil à table de farine Garniture à mettre à la cuillère sur le gâteau avant le cuisson:  ¼ tasse de beurre - 1 à 2 cuil. thé de cannelle - 1 tasse de cassonade Mettre en crème le shortening avec le sucre.  Incorporer l'oeuf et la vanille.  Tamiser ensemble la farine, le soda et le sel.  Faire 3 additions d'ingrédients secs et 2 de liquide.
